What a start to 2025! At Medtechtomarket we provide a full life-cycle service to develop your medical diagnostics from concept through to commercial launch. Here are examples showcasing the amazing, potentially life-changing projects that we have been working on recently:
FULL PRODUCT LIFE-CYCLE
Proteotype diagnostics has devised the Enlighten blood test which Innovate UK says has the potential to “transform the early detection of cancer”. Development by Medtechtomarket in under a year, the first batch of test kits have been manufactured and sent to various establishments for clinical trials and evaluations, including at the University of Southampton, Xi’an in China, the Gulbenkian Institute of Molecular Medicine at the University of Lisbon, and the Babraham Research Campus (Cambridge).
FAST DEVELOPMENT, MANUFACTURE, AND CLINICAL PERFORMANCE
Working with the University of Birmingham, Medtechtomarket has developed and produced a blood-free tetanus immunity screening product. In just FOUR MONTHS, we have designed, developed, and produced a diagnostic tool that is hoped will be used in Rwanda to measure tetanus immunity and also to identify broader gaps in vaccination provision. Results from an independent assessment using a large number of clinical samples at the University were excellent.
PRODUCTS THAT WORK
Again, working with the University of Birmingham, we are proud to say another diagnostic product that we originally tested, has gone through further testing in Birmingham on patient samples, with a correlation of 0.99. We are now setting up the manufacture and clinical testing in this field.
MANAGEMENT OF CLINICAL TRIALS
The GlycoScore Prostate Cancer Test, a simple blood test enabling accurate early detection of clinically significant prostate cancer has now started its clinical trial before a potential commercial launch. Having previously developed the product in our labs, Medtechtomarket has set up and currently manages the clinical trials with the Royal Liverpool University Hospital (RLUH).
CHANGING LIVES
We have recently achieved full design freeze for Presymptom Health – a portfolio of patented AI-based diagnostic blood tests designed to accelerate diagnosis of infection & sepsis. This diagnostic tool can now be transferred to our manufacturing team, with a view to regulatory submissions.
